. . . A little info about Bill Brai . . .

Have you ever wondered about all of the people that have made your existence possible? If just one of them had died prematurely, where would you be right now? Almost everyone knows their grandparent's name. Some may even know the names of their great-grandparents? What's that you say, "My great who?" Do you know? Should you care? Yes!

What I'm searching for simply put is: " What is the essence me? " This web site is a story of one person who cared enough, and refused to let the names of these wonderful people go into oblivion and become forgotten forever. I cared enough to travel to the origins of where it began. Today, I rigorously trace every lead that I uncover. The World Wide Web has become to me what the nose is to the bloodhound. I send and receive e-mail letters almost everyday to and from international addresses in search of . . . "My Roots."

I think that everyone should have at least one meaningful quest in their life. My quest is to know, "Who Am I?" And I will know.

My grandchildren, Trey and Sarah will ask me one day, "Who am I" grandpa? And I will say, "You are the 7th great-grandchildren of Antonino Favaloro and Maria Bertucci. And when their grandchildren ask, "Who am I ?" they will say, let's go ask great-great-grandpa Bill.

It is my intention to bring the names of the past into the present. As long as the names of the past are said out loud, they will always be alive and never forgotten.

A word about Bill:
Bill Brai is a second generation Italian-American that was born in New Orleans in 1950. He was the son of a carpenter and a housewife. He was nurtured and disciplined by the rules that govern the upbringing of a child in a strong Italian family. He was self-motivated at an early age in life to be a millionaire and not a carpenter. Neither happened. He became an electrician, then started an Internet Coffee mail Order Business.

Bill is a semi-retired electrician and lives on a 3 acre farm in Covington, Louisiana growing produce, watching the grass grow and writing a book called, "My Ustica and the Legend of Antonino Favaloro."

A new development...
In the Spring of 2008, it is my intention to liquidate all that I own and move to Sicily where I will spend the rest of my life enjoying Italian Culture and I’ll be surrounded by my Italian cousins, some that I know already, and another thousand that I haven’t met yet. At present, I am searching for a villa with an olive or grape orchard.
